Purpose of the role

We are currently recruiting a Full Time Electrical Labourer who will report into our Resources Manager out of our offices in Blackburn.   Day to day you will find yourself supporting engineers carrying out electrical maintenance tasks that have been assigned to you by your Line manager and will assist our planned maintenance team in delivering construction works, maintenance, service of electrical systems etc., alongside our fully qualified craftsmen.

The Person – Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Working under the supervision of our craftsmen, assisting with Electrical Tasks as required
• Assisting with the construction, installation and maintenance of switchgear, panels and cables
• Performing visual checks on electrical equipment such as secure terminations thermal imaging. PF checks
• Using hand tools to be able to carry out daily maintenance jobs
• Maintain tools and keep in good working order for the team
• General Housekeeping
• Undertaking training as and where required
• Work in a safe manner and have a proactive approach to all safety issues
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure effective running of the process
• Promote Quality Management and Continuous Improvement
• You will display excellent customer service – and have experience of dealing with customers appropriately and effectively, ensuring full compliance of safe systems of work in accordance with ENWCML Policies and Procedures and current HSE legislation
• You should have previous basic electrical experience.
• Previous experience of building maintenance/construction
• Excellent IT skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Current UK Driving License
