Electrical Design Engineer

We are looking for an innovative Design Engineer with experience of Client side HV projects from initial concept and feasibility through to procurement specification, construction phase design and Commissioning; someone to act as the Lead Designer for Infrastructure & Energy projects on Electricity North West Construction & Maintenance Ltd.’s Customer networks up to and including 132kV. 

The successful candidate will alongside our Bid and Design Team be responsible for adhering to ENWCML design standards and data integrity.

Low Voltage Project Manager

We are recruiting for an LV Project Manager to join our team delivering Low Voltage (LV) electrical power projects as well as supporting High Voltage Project Managers at transmission and distribution voltage levels. This role is to project manage pre-construction and construction activities (from design to energisation) for LV infrastructure across multiple projects. 

Our projects would include feasibility, detailed design, procurement, construction, test and commissioning on existing or new substations and associated infrastructure.

As the Project Manager will have a sound working knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts, customer relationships and site safety.

Focussed on delivery you will be accountable for developing the Construction Phase Plan and by providing clear communication of the required scope, quality specifications and timelines, along with information of all hazards, risks and controls for work, that are need for the project to be completed on time, to a high standard and under budget.

Operations Programme Manager

As the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of fully costed, approved, planned, and resourced delivery programmes required to deliver our Business Plan. The programmes will include low complexity “bucket” schemes through to highly complex infrastructure projects at the National Grid interface/Major Customer Connection interface.

You will ensure that all programmes have an identified delivery route including design, have associated project plans in place, are fully budgeted and approved. You will also be responsible for maintaining and monitoring delivery progress, risks and opportunities.

Senior Authorised Person

As part of the operational team, the Senior Authorised Person will own all elements including testing and commissioning of high voltage and low voltage electrical maintenance and construction projects on private and distribution networks, in accordance with HSE legislation and Electricity North West safe working practices.

As the responsible Senior Authorised Person on site you will have a sound working knowledge and understanding of commercial contracts, customer relationships and electrical safety, particularly being accountable for making the electricity network and working environment safe for our crafts people to carry out work, ensuring all operational staff and sub-contractors have the correct skills, competencies and authorisations to carry out allocated work.
